I enjoy that you are playing with scale in the fire hydrant photograph. Fire hydrant and building wave all point to water and the tiny figure is walking under the wave.
With the top building photograph, you made a good choice in deciding to stand behind the barbed wire/ fence (and so closely that is would become a blur). It makes the photograph more interesting composition- wise, as there is something going on in the foreground, but it also drives the point home that we are to "keep out". This image also works the best in black and white (out of the 3) for me, because it has a great range of tones and the texture and geometrical shapes pop.
